Deepfake Executive Fraud: The New Era of AI-Powered Financial Deception

This is not theoretical. It is operational.

What Is Deepfake Executive Fraud?

Deepfake executive fraud involves the use of artificial intelligence to generate:

  • Synthetic voice recordings

  • Real-time cloned phone calls

  • AI-generated video appearances

  • Manipulated audio messages

  • Fabricated virtual meeting participants

The goal is financial manipulation.

Common objectives include:

  • Wire transfer redirection

  • Emergency vendor payments

How the Attack Typically Works

Step 1: Information Gathering

The result can sound indistinguishable from the real executive.

And because the voice sounds authentic, hesitation decreases.

No single individual should:
